Federal Employment Program for Seniors

Senior Community Services Employment Program
The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) provides part-time work-based training opportunities at local community service agencies for older workers who have poor employment prospects and assists with the transition of individuals to private or other employment opportunities in the community

Senior Worker Advocacy Office
Promotes coordination and cooperation among agencies and organizations providing employment information, recruitment, training and placement services for senior workers. Provides information to employers, job applicants and various public and private agencies regarding employment of senior workers.

Social Security
Links to all government sites that provide services to seniors as well as to all 50 states and the services they offer.

The National Council on the Aging
Helps you find senior programs that may pay for some of the costs of prescription drugs, health care, utilities or other essential items of service. An online questionnaire will create a personal benefits listing describing the services available and a listing of local offices and phone numbers to contact.

Riverside County Office on Aging
We are a customer focused agency. The Office on Aging leadership team has a variety of liaisons with government, professional and community organizations and networks.  The goals of these leadership initiatives are: to influence public policy and service funding, to remain informed on emerging trends, needs and available resources, to effect change in service delivery systems, and to promote education on the impact of aging and longevity.

To provide seniors/disabled seniors opportunities to continue an active, rich and productive life through a constantly expanding program of travel, health, education, recreation and social activities, in pleasant surroundings and inexpensively as possible.

Eddie Dee Smith Senior Center
The primary mission of the Eddie Dee Smith Senior Center is to serve older adults of the community and provide services, information, meals and activities geared to the needs of an older adult. Our goal is to create a safe and heathy environment that will enhance the quality of life of these older adults through the collaborative efforts of the Senior Center leadership.

AARP
AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization for people age 50 and over. AARP is dedicated to enhancing quality of life for all as we age. We lead positive social change and deliver value to members through information, advocacy and service.
